Employed

Well my week has been eventful since I last posted, I am now employed!!  I was offered the job I interviewed for on Monday afternoon :-) so as of Mid May I'll be back at work, to celebrate we went to see the giants in Liverpool on Friday they were incredible especially the Uncle, we watched him being lifted out of Albert dock.

2nd interview

Well the second interview was a lot worse than the 1st!  My interview was at 2pm, I arrived at 1:50 reported to reception and was told to take a seat at 2:20 I went to check everything was OK when they realised they'd forgot to tell anyone I was there!  At 2:35 I was taken up for my interview had my documents checked and taken and then had to wait until 2:50 for the interviewers, it was then the longest interview of my life with the interview lasting until 4:05pm they asked lots of questions after a long tiring day I just really hope one of them wants to give me a job!

Interview 1

Well interview one is over and done with, think it went OK but it was very short, hopefully I'll be the best person they see!  Now swotting up for interview 2!

Nerves

I feel so nervous now about tomorrow, the interview in the morning I've done my research for and the interview in the afternoon had loads of paperwork I needed to fill in which I've done and I've got all the extra paperwork they've requested ready in a plastic wallet, I'm just so nervous I really desperately want one of them to give me a job!  This afternoon I'll iron my shirt and get my suit and tights out ready and I'm going to have a bit of a paper evening and give myself a mini manicure and straighten my hair so when I go over it in the morning it should stay straight for the day.  Fingers crossed one of them will over me a job and I can stop being unemployed and start earning again!

This week

Well I had my fortnightly job centre appointment and the woman I was supposed to see wasn't in again so I saw the rubbish woman I saw last time.  She makes me feel like I've never worked a day in my life and am making no effort, she's not even a proper advisor so can't even recommend me for the sage course, hopefully something will come of Mondays interviews and then I should hopefully be able to start work by the end of the month, today and yesterday I've been researching for my interviews and I finished painting the bathroom yesterday so that looks better.  Tomorrow I have a mountain of paperwork to fill in for one of the interviews as I have to take evidence of everywhere I've been for the last 5 years!

Volunteering

Well as well as looking at websites to prepare me for my interviews I've also registered to volunteer at Shine!  It's a night time walking marathon in Manchester for Cancer Research UK, it's on the 8th September this year so I've volunteered 6pm-2am, I actually walked the marathon for the last two years, it's exhausting but so worthwhile and for such a good cause, I'm having a year off from the walk this year but it'll be nice to be involved and I've roped my mum in as well so it should be good!

More Interviews

Well unfortunately the job I was supposed to start on Tuesday has fallen through but thankfully I'd still applied for another couple of jobs and now have two interviews lined up for in just over a weeks time for customer service roles so hopefully I'll get one of those, the interviews mean I'm feeling much more positive this week!  The other job just obviously wasn't meant to be.
